2. A Taste of Gullah -Saturday, February 1-Hilton Head
Experience some Gullah Culture at the Taste of Gullah event located at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. Lowcountry specialties will be available including BBQ ribs, shrimp and grits, conch stew, okra gumbo and rice and beans. There will also be gospel music, crafts, storytelling and more. 3. Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra February 1, 9, 10, 23,24-Hilton Head
February 1, the HHSO Youth Concerto Competition Instrumentalists will be performing at St. Luke’s Church on Hilton Head Island. These Instrumentalists are 18 years old or younger and come from throughout the Southeast. They will be competing for cash prizes. 4. Hilton Head Marathon/Half Marathon and 5K-Saturday, February 8
Even if you’re not a runner, come support the participants of the race! If you do participate, you can choose to participate in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, or 5k walk/run. The race will begin at 8:00am at Jarvis Creek Park and will benefit several Hilton Head Island Charities. There will also be a post race party featuring a craft beer garden, refreshments, live music, food, door prizes, a children’s fun run as well as an event award ceremony. 5. Hilton Head Bridal Show-Sunday, February 9
Future brides and grooms can be introduced to experts that will help make their wedding absolutely amazing. 6. 2014 Beaufort International Film Festival, February 12-16- Beaufort
If you’re into movies, this is a great way to spend a few days. The festival will open with a reception which will feature 28 independent films as well as 6 screenplays. These will be chosen from a world-wide selection of entries. The screenings will be shown at the University of SC, Beaufort, Center for the Arts. Films will run from Wednesday through Saturday followed by a rewards ceremony. Purchase your tickets at the Visitor Center in the Historic Arsenal at 713 Craven Street.

8. The Salty Dog Oyster Roast- Saturday, February 22
